Key fob battery key replacement

So I got a key fob battery empty on my display today I was just wondering is that normal if I had the car for about 15 maybe 16 months 2021 I just wonder if that was too soon to change the battery I got about 7,500 miles on it

Yes...it is normal. Also, make sure you replace it with a quality battery.

Mine lasted significantly longer but I generally don’t lock or unlock the car from the fob. I just touch the door.

I turned off comfort access on mine and just touch to door to unlock. Battery should last much longer.

Yeah thanks I have that option on maybe I'll shut it off it is kind of annoying anytime you come to the car the door is unlocked

Typically the dealer will replace the fob battery, for no cost, for cars still under warranty. However, it may just be easy enough to get a replacement and install yourself. Look for Made in Japan batteries. Not easy to find, but some are available.

Interesting. The replaced both of mine and charged me.

I had to replace my battery recently and replaced it with Energizers. So far they are holding up.
