If it's not leaking now you might get lucky. Bring a half water bottle with a few drops of dish soap added for bubbles, a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. AT THE TIRE SHOP put some soap water on there first and unscrew the screw and watch for bubbles. No leaky...no problems!

Plug it all day long. My guess would be they’re only saying it’s not repairable to avoid liability. However, it’s clearly not sidewall. I would be comfortable plugging mine if it were in that location.

Thanks for the feeback. I'm getting it replaced. Pulled the screw out and it's a 2" long screw. It actually angled out towards the sidewall so I'm not sure what kind of damage internally it caused. Will take a look when it is off the wheel and see.
