Static noise when turn on

Hi

Recently taken delivery of my G31 - awesome car.

When I turn it on or off, there is a strange static sound coming from the centre console. It sounds a bit like a cd drive whirling, or static from speakers. I assume as it's coming from the centre console, it's feedback from the engine bay or the aircon system.

Anyone else get this? Is it normal?

Hi - can you pinpoint location a bit more ? Could it be behind the idrive screen where the dash speaker is ? Near the climate controls or audio controls ?

I think I can get what you asked for . I hear same noise as well. I don't know what it causing this but somehow I like it
