Hi everyone,

I have a 2020 BMW G30 and I’m facing two issues:

Board Computer (BC) not changing the right side of the cluster
• I press the BC button on the left stalk, but nothing happens.
• I tried resetting iDrive settings, rebooting the system (holding volume knob for 30 sec), and changing settings in Car → Displays → Instrument cluster.
• The only options I see in iDrive for the cluster are “Map Preview” and “Route Preview” – I can’t enable additional BC data.
• I also tried switching drive modes (Sport/Comfort/Eco) but no change.

I press Start/Stop 3 times (without the brake) to enter the service menu.
• The system enters the mode, but BC does nothing when I hold the button.
• I tried multiple times, but it won’t reset the oil service.

Does anyone know what could be wrong? Is it a software issue, coding limitation, or a broken BC button? Any advice on how to enable BC data on the right side of the display and get the oil reset to work?

Electrical contacts on the BC button are probably dirty. Spray some cleaner down there and see if that helps. If not, probably need a new stalk.
