It's been over a year, and I still have the same software in my car.
I have read in some posts that BMW usually updates two or three times a year.
I'm not sure if I am missing the latest version. My car keeps saying that there are no updates.
I have version: 07/2021.62
Is there a new one?

My vehicle is a 2021 530i xDrive, and since purchasing it CPO last summer in 2024 I have never seen a Remote Software Upgrade available. The My BMW app and iDrive in the vehicle have always said I had the latest version available and that the car was up to date. The software version I had at purchase was 11/2023.50 and I was never able to update on my own over the air.

In February 2025 I took the vehicle into the dealership for service and they replaced the instrument cluster and updated the software. The version installed was 11/2024.65 which is what I am running today. In the My BMW app and in iDrive in the vehicle I see the same messages stating that my car is up to date and that there are no software updates available that I saw before the dealership did the programming of the instrument cluster and software update.

What are the current software versions that other folks are running? I’d be interested to see.

My U.K. 550 is 07/2024 which was the last OTA update I received

Not sure if anyone in a g30 has got a ota update if anything later?

Bmw dealerships may upgrade it as part of work being undertaken to address an issue so you may see 11/2024 or 03/2025
07/2025 just a couple of months away aswell

Gut feeling probably not going to see any more ota unless something significant comes to light.

So I just picked up a 2022 530xi a month ago on 11/2021.60 wouldn't take an OTA update. Dealership said "nope that is what the car should be running." Reached out to the BMW genius via email and they confirmed that there was something keeping the car from updating. They told me to take it in, car is still under Factory warranty, but software updates are not covered... 2 hours later my car is at 03/2025.50.

Apparently, there is a way to get it covered, or you have to pay for the labor.
