Digital Key (NFC based) is likely dead or on its way out. Digital Key Plus (Ultra Wideband) is the next gen.

Wireless charging is another story. BMW needs to address the overheating issue (not terribly difficult to fix) before it will be a useful feature. Also, the current size of the G30 charging pad is too small for all but the standard (smaller) sized phones, especially when a case is used.

Given MY22 is the final year for the G30, I doubt we'll see either feature return at least until MY23 - G60. Of course, this is all my opinion on the subject.
