At least BMW branding isn’t like Jaguar’s new one!

What on earth is going on here?
Jaguar are going fully EVs next year.
If that wasn’t bad enough, their new branding , well just watch

Oh god, trying too hard to be like Apple...Never liked Jags and this stupid rebranding will certainly be annoying once the commercials start.

I liked Elon's response...

"Do you sell cars?"

Yeah, that ad will make me drive as fast as I can to the nearest Jag dealer and trade my G30 in for the latest Jag!

Jaguar is toast. They looked at Bud Light and said “hold my beer”.

Yes, yes I did just do that.

I think a guy who has the YouTube channel “high peak autos” summed it up right
Basically expeted them to go bust in 5 years , brand get bought by the Chinese and it ends up like MG.

Well done jaGuar

I see one of 3 things happening here:

1. Jaguar is about to come out with the most ground-breaking amazing car(s)
we will all have to buy, and they will capture the world market better than
anyone in history
2. They are building a multi-billion$ car for a weird rich guy
3. Jaguar’s 15 DEI groups have successfully doomed the company to extinction

It will be impossible to overcome the completely negative attention they have received, especially from a company that has hardly sold anything in the last 2 years and has teetered on the brink since its inception. Some current Jaguar owners are pledging to burn their cars.

Should make a great case study on self destruction and how to wreck a company for business schools.

Dude, we’ve been living an entire era for business school case studies in the future. But Jag is climbing to the top.

I thought some of the older Jags were incredible... the new ones not so much. Won't be buying one, that's for sure.

Why is it that some of the best race car engineering in the world (F1, WEC) comes out of England, but they can’t keep a car company afloat? Two different disciplines I guess.

Small batch perfectionism vs large scale manufacturing, quality control, distribution, and service. Two completely different animals.

They could conquer the world but not the auto industry. But at least they’ve produced some memorable cars along the way. I spent my entire career in the large scale disciplines you mention and I’d say Americans are much better at those than the small batch perfectionism.

In the same vein as the Jaguar approach, I have a suggestion for BMW marketing of their giant double grills on the 4 series and many SUVs. --Bob

They should do a retro model after the old E34 and its accompanying lineup of that era. Just do one, about the size of the G30, and put a straight 6 in it.
