Brake Pads Clanking Noise On Uneven Surfaces
Hi everyone,
I recently installed Centric Parts Super Premium Ceramic Pads (105.18670) along with the Raybestos Front Disc Hardware Kit (H18277A). Since then, I’ve noticed an annoying clanking noise every time I hit a pothole or drive over uneven surfaces. I took a closer look and recorded a video (linked below) showing how the brake pads move up and down within the caliper. The Raybestos kit included guide pins and a retainer spring, so I’m trying to figure out if I should replace the aftermarket guide pins and retainer spring with OEM parts or if should I replace the pads with OEM ones as well? Appreciate your insights. https://youtube.com/shorts/tT5xyfqvP...X7NPA86l55y5Cq |

Are the retaining pins pushed fully home? It looks like the retaining pins aren't pushed fully into the caliper. Use a punch and a lump hammer. If not then use the OEM originals.
