Does someone ever tried to retrofit LCI G30 steering wheel buttons on a pre-LCI G30 ?
Is there any problem doing that ?

I have done this - worked fine for me.

It seems there is two types of LCI buttons. One just for MY2020 (the type which is on the precedent photo) and another one for more recent cars. This second type is not compatible with pre-lci cars.

Isn’t there 2 layouts aswell depending on whether you have the assisted driving or not?

There are many buttons sets depending on the équipement of the car and if it's lci or not.
For example sriving assistant plus and driving assistant pro don't have the same buttons. Driving assistant plus (as I have on my pré lci) was just sold on MY2020 LCI models. After that, it's driving assistant pro. Buttons are not compatible even if the possibilities are quite the same.

please any update on this, i have pre lci 2018 and have heated 2020 style wheel, but i have basic driving assistant plus and on wheel is separate resume and cancell i thnik and when you pust that button on idrive junps error, cruise control working great. i have to look if iots not LCI modell and that is why it poping errors.
