When I park in front of a curb, I noticed the surround view cameras on my 540i seem to be not aligned properly. The image from the front camera does not align with the images from the sides (see pic).
Anyone else have this problem? |

Nothing faulty with your vehicle. It's not really an alignment issue - rather a wide angle distortion issue. Items on the periphery of shot (i.e. from the side cameras towards front and back of the vehicle) are always going to get warped with those ultra small wide angle lenses.

Same here. Like DBO, I don't think its a 'fault', just a limitation of the technology or implementation in this car. i.e. I think they're all like that, not just yours & mine.

Same here. Front and back. I was worried about it a little bit but then I had Mrs. Lee walk around the car and wave at certain spots. It still tells me what I need to know re: my surroundings and proximity so no big deal.
I am somewhat glad to hear it's not just me. |

I recently noticed my car is doing this. Has there been any developments on this topic since 2019? Is it still considered to be normal due to the wide angle cameras or could it possibly require realignment and/or software updates to align the images?
