Transmission changing gears roughly
Hi everyone!
I'm having problems with transmission on my 2017 G30 540i RWD. I got the car around two weeks ago from a BMW dealer, well maintained and not involved in any accidents, generally a decent car. Apart from some wheel vibrations since going to summer set, I love the car. But the transmission is changing gears so rough, I've drove some 8HP's and they were smooth like butter. You can literally feel every gear change, downshift or upshift, even when driving gently. If you floor it and it drops two gears at once, it shifts absolutely too harsh, it feels like it's going to tear off the drivetrain. 83000 km / 51500 miles on the clock. I decided to replace the transmission fluid straight away. The old oil was like "new", fresh oil, you could literally see through it, not dark and not smelling of burned oil. There was also nothing out of ordinary in regards to particles seen on the magnets in the pan itself. Oil was changed in accordance to BMW / ZF procedure, filling at correct temperatures using ISTA. After the oil change there was no difference at all, not better and not worse, so I decided to also reset the adaptation values. It quickly adapted to my way of driving and the more I drove, it got a bit smoother in regards to gear shifts, but still far from how it should be. I did around 300 km / 180 miles since the adaptations reset and maybe 30 km / 18 miles more since the fluid change itself. The guibo / flex disc does have a crack so it will be replaced straight away, but I'm not really optimistic about that being the issue. I will mention that the car is running on old software, a 17 - something version, but I doubt that could be the culprit. I'm attaching current adaptation values after 300 km / 180 miles, adaptations before reset (the latter) and fault codes. I would really appreciate any advice from you guys. Thanks!
