Best route to a 500-550whp daily driver?

Hello, new to the forums and just purchased a 2020 540I xdrive with 42k miles as my daily driver. I bought the car with the plans to modify the motor with goals of 500-550whp on 93 pump gas.

Based on my limited knowledge, I plan to upgrade:
1. 200 cell catted downpipe (Osprey)
2. MAD axle back exhaust and intake
3. Pure 800 turbo
4. Dorch stage 2.5
5. spark plugs
6. Custom tune

Will this setup allow me to reach my goals and remain fairly reliable?
Any better setups to reach or come close to these goals?

Below is just for reference, ultimately its your tuners recommendation that rules supreme.

Exhaust and intake I assume are only for the sound, won't affect performance noticeably.

If you are going with a DS25 pump, might as well add MHD flexfuel kit.
Its awesome to know you can put Ethanol anytime and gain benefits, plus it helps the engine run cooler. Really worth it for the money.
Xhp transmission flash essential. Your transmission should be happy for those power targets with just the stage 2/3 flash.

I think you are good otherwise. Rest would be all your tuner's magic.

Please do share who you are working with.
I am in a "nearby area", planning to go stage 3 as well and looking for a good shop and tuner.

Why didn’t you just buy an M? Or a 550?

I’d assume changing the factory downpipe and cat to a catless/hi flow cat and a bigger downpipe will increase performance. Tuning with a catless DP should see a 50-70hp gain over stock. I’d say its worth it.

Not sure how to answer to this but here it goes.

Theoretically you are not wrong but your statement applies to a power bracket of over 1000+ hp tune where the catless downpipe would allow more power to be made over a free flowing catted one. (not stock DP)

the range OP is targeting highflow catted and catless hardly make a difference and the cons of smell are not worth it in my opinion. AA catted downpipes are good upto 800ish HP. (correct me if I'm wrong.)

Here is a sample video and B58 should have similar results.

we cannot assume that a basic stage 3 would start making 70+ hp just with a catless DP and a highflow catted DP would not allow it.

Agreed a highflown cat (400cell) should flow comparative to a catless dp at low/moderate boost levels. To say there's no difference is incorrect.

The comparison on the video is incorrect. The test should have been done back to back, same day, and on a dyno imo.
