Post [PDF Guide Attached] How to Remove the DME/ECU on BMW G30 - NEED HYBRID INFO

Hi everyone,

I’m attaching a detailed PDF guide I made that explains how to remove the DME/ECU on a BMW G30. The tutorial covers all the steps for combustion engine (non-hybrid) models — everything is explained clearly with photos and instructions (in French).

Question:
For hybrid models like the 530e or 545e, is the process the same? Are there any additional safety precautions I should take before unplugging the ECU? Can I follow the same steps as for regular gasoline/diesel models, or is there anything specific to disconnect (e.g. high-voltage battery relay)?

I’d really appreciate any input from those who’ve done it on hybrid G30s.

Note:
Sorry the guide is in French — you can easily translate it using ChatGPT or I can repost a more detailed version in English once I gather more info about hybrid-specific steps.

Thanks in advance! 🙏
