Goodbye Runflats!
Ordered the modern spare tire kit and 4 new NON RUNFLAT tires. Pirelli PZ4. Sick of never having my tire in stock at the dealership and having to wait 3 days to fix a simple flat (that cant be patched cuz 'the nail was right near the sidewall' or 'you drove it here on flat (No Duh) we cant fix that')
Looking forward to a quieter and better handling 540 ![]() |

I put a large hole in a Goodyear OE runflat on my X3 a while back and it was repaired without any issue by a local General Tire store. However, they did tell me that some of the early runflats were unrepairable due to their design. As explained to me, those had some sort of dense foam inserts bonded to the inside of the carcass that precluded access needed for interior patching.
