2017 540I Xdrive build

I bought this car a year old in April of 2018. I have done a few things to it since but wanted to share with everyone all the progress pictures.

First was the spoiler. M performance style Painted gloss black..

Second was the wheels. They're off of a 7 series style 629 liquid black.
Fronts are 245/35/21 21x8.5 25mm offset
Rears are 275/30/21 21x10 41mm offset

Third was the gloss black wrapped roof, gloss black wrapped diffuser, chrome door handles to gloss black with the grill. Wrapped the front camera holder in white between the grill...
Also tinted windows 30% All around, paint protection film on the bumper, hood, fenders mirror caps & headlights.

Winter setup oem 20" 759i style wheels with spacers.
Pirelli Sottozero 240 series runflat
245/40/20 with 10mm spacer
275/35/20 with 15mm spacer

M performance style parts in gloss black. Front splitter with bottom lip only, side skirt extensions & rear diffuser. I also retrofitted M sport brakes. You can see the diameter difference in the front rotors.

Last but not least! New tires Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. 255/35/21 up front & 295/30/21 on the rears.

Gloss black 540i emblem, slightly different font, like the M550I font.

Also got oem floating center caps that always stay upright.

Very nice! Well thought out add ons.

Also, good job on the wheels/tires! They turned out perfect and don't think you could have a better wheel/tire set up. It's not too slammed or too low looking, but you got rid of the big fender gap.

Thank you CLAbro. You're absolutely right. I lucked out without lowering it by increasing the tire size & reducing the fender gap.

It's a great compromise between handling & comfort.

Thank you. The wheels aren't easy to clean that's for sure. The good thing about them is they hide dirt so good because they always sparkle!
I typically use sonax wheel cleaner, let them soak for 3-5 minutes then power wash. For a quick wash that's good enough sometimes. Otherwise I have to get in there with a soft detailing brush.

Great job on all the mods. If I had a white car these are all changes I would likely make. With my car being Med blue, not sure if all these mods would look as good on my ride.

Thank you! Got it from Ebay. Fitment is 100% the only thing is it's only compatible with stock 530i & 540i exhaust tips. Will not fit with M550i exhaust tips or m performance exhaust tips.

Bought a 2018 M550XI. Going to be moving most of the parts over to the new car. I will be selling the rear diffuser because it won't fit on the new car.

Love everything you did with the white 540 - thats the spec i'm shooting for once it's ready to buy. I see you're in Canada, how is the vinyl roof holding up? I was thinking about doing that same mod if I can find the White spec. Also did you find black kidney grills to replace or did you paint?
