Remote Climate operation
For the first time, I set the Departure Climate Timer on the remote app to come on this morning for when I was going to leave for work thinking the car would be nice and toasty when I got in. It wasn't. The fan was on ok but it wasn't blowing out any heat.
Am I doing something wrong? |

BTW, I 'plug-in' my car on frosty mornings... put an electric fan heater in the rear and run it to defrost and warm the cabin. |

The rumble of the V8 at startup will easily shake loose any ice or snow, as well as wake any slumbering neighbors .

According to BMW your not suppose to run the car to heat it up. It's bad for car. Better to start and drive cold. At least that's what they say.
Personally I think with heated seat and heated steering wheel, I'm pretty much ok to wait on heat.

I've read that too - they recommend driving to get oil circulating to lubricate the engine and bring it to operating temp more rapidly.
