Got my new UniCarScan adapter today and did the remote trunk close coding with BimmerCode! Worked on the first try! That's cool AF! I have to admit I was a little nervous doing this on a brand new 2019 M550ix for the first time, but it worked like a charm! I can't wait to do some other coding tomorrow!

How did you close the trunk on remote? I have to press and hold on mine. I would like to set it to close without holding down the button.
I don't see HKFM module anymore on the G30

It’s set like that to avoid pressing button in error and having trunk open

You have to press and hold because if you don't you're just re-opening the trunk that is already open. Don't worry, it took me a few minutes to figure that out myself.

However, once triggered, you have coding option to hold while closing (like windows) or release. |

I own a 2017 G30 (Europe) and I have a OBDLink MX+ adapter which I use with BimmerCode app. There aren't many options in the basic mode and I have no idea what options to change in the expert mode (if they are available) for the following functions:
- Enabling Sport+ mode (1.6lt engine has only Sport and Sport Individual mode), - Changing Instrument cluster into M display (There is only Alpina Display option in BimmerCode basic section; they have added M Display cluster for new LiveCockpit (DKOMBI4) models but not for DKOMBI2), - Moving seats backward while entering/exiting vehicle (wheel moves up automatically by default but not the seat), - Adding additional functions to HUD (turn signals, current song info etc.)? I've found HUD_Turnsignals and HUD_M options in expert mode and activated them but nothing changed in HUD - Activate launch control (1.6lt engine doesn't have that but it has a sport transmission so it is possibly deactivated by the software), - SLI activation (I have KAFAS cameras, but I need FSC code and steps to activate SLI by using bimmercode), - If possible: adding map view, "now song playing" info etc. to the instrument cluster(under rev. gauge) and keeping them there constantly. During a navigation to a destination a map appears in there (if HUD is disabled) but I want to see a map in there or at least the info/cover about the current playing song like the one in Live Cockpit version dash, - Increasing brightness (or at least deactivate night mode) of the instrument and A/C screen, - Activating doorhandle lights in reverse gear, - Coding any RGB into ambient lights other than Bronze option. If any of these possible via BimmerCode I'll really appreciate if you can describe the variables that must be changed. Also is there a way to backup the current settings in the ECUs (like saving image files)? So they can be restored easily after a software update etc.? Bimmercode only restores each variable to their original values as I understand. One Final Question: If I had SLI coded to my car, will I delete it later if I code something else with bimmercode or restore a backup with bimmercode? I don't want to loose SLI coding but I also make some coding with Bimmercode regularly. How can I keep SLI coding? Thanks for your time |

in some markets there is legislation dictating what you can and can't have - like video in motion - crash and end up in jail even if the other person caused it (and if they die expect 10 years of fun if you live in the UK) and the other is cost options at time of purchase, a BMW in Oz is treble the cost in the rest of the world... so I'd hope I got a few extra tick marks to play with |
