Streets of Houston

And this is why we can't have low-profile wheels & tires on Houston streets. Potholes are everywhere!

No, these are the 759i's that came with my car. I've grown to like them actually. I'll just get this one wheel reconditioned next time I go in for service. This could have happened at any time. I only noticed it tonight when I getting fuel. Potholes are a major issue in Houston with all of the industrial trucks everywhere.

Got me a 550 last week with 664s and was also contemplating on the 668,, it's kind of geared towards the family ,, hence not really sure if I should even be thinking about moving from
the 19s to the 20s

Did you get wheel and tire warranty? It's a must on every car for situations like this or just curb rash, or nails in tires

Hell no. It was going to cost over $6,000! Even the lady doing my paperwork couldn't believe it. I could buy a brand-new set of wheels and tires and still have $1,000 leftover!

That's crazy! Down here in south Florida I paid $1800 for blemish, wheel and tire replacement. So if I get a nail At 4/32nds of tread the replace the tires for free. Must be because of the roads where your at. Wow that's alot

Same here.

Honestly, there is no way I could own a BMW with 20s where I live. There is not a kilometer of road that doesn't have a pot hole in it.

I wanted the 668's so bad but living in Colorado pretty much made the decision to go with the standard 19s a done deal. In early March I drove over a hole in the road so big the person I was having a phone call through the car actually heard it and said "Whoa - what was that?" Then the truck behind me that had 22" wheels hit it and immediately had to pull over.

If I had been on the 668s riding on 20' tires I would have been in a world of hurt for sure!

18s would be the smallest wheel you could run on a M550i or any G30 5 series with M Sport Brakes.

I paid $1800 for my wheel and tire warranty - I have the 669 wheel package.

Between fixing the streets and prop B Mayor Turner has dropped the ball.

2 weeks with the car and got a bubble on the tire from a pothole.

Here in Chicago they offered me a protection plan for $1350.00 for 3 years which covers dings, windshield, lost keys, tires and rims including cosmetic damage on them.

Had a similar bulge a few months ago, had to replace the tire, no rim damage. The BMW coverage I was offered was also priced at $6k....ridiculous. I love the 668M's, but kind of wish I had 19 inchers instead.

Yeah, they are very proud of the 739i and 668M wheels. $6k is what was presented to me too. Even the finance manager couldn't believe it. We could buy a brand new set of those same wheels and tires at full retail with that and still have $1k leftover!

I've had my '19 m550i for about 3 months now. Had 4 miles when I got it. At 80 miles I was back at the dealer for wheel straightening and new front tires. I'm on 668s and I live in NY. Love the look but hate driving on eggshells lol. Went back to dealer after getting two bubbles this past weekend. Both on right front tire. Running Goodyear's which I loath. Both times my protection warranty paid for tires and wheel straightening. Kinda nice. But not nice paying nearly 300 per wheel alignment. On my 2nd and have integral steering. Love that too guess ya gotta pay to play. My warranty on the wheels, tires and brakes was 3k at signing.
