that looks really good, but the likelihood is that it is going to follow up footsteps of the 7 series LCI and get the huge grill.

I cannot recall where I read this, but there was an interview in which a BMW designer states that the big grille would not trickle down. Remember that grill is a Chinese market influence, as the 7-series is more popular there. BMW cannot alienate buyers in other countries for the far more popular 5-series. If anything it should get slimmer, more aggressive and angular like the G20. (I hope I'm right, as I will not buy another 5er if the design theme turns "stately".)

Looks fake to me, like fake photochop job.

It's pretty much a mix up of BMW G20 3-series and 5 Series G30.

5 series long wheel base is a pretty popular chinese mid level manager car so if the large grill is a chinese thing (being one myself I can't see why or never heard of it) then it will definitely get one...
