Back to the OT, I don't yet have all of the numbers, but it was getting difficult negotiating with multiple dealers trying to get the best deal, plus a trade which always complicates things, so here's my summary deal:

2019 540i convenience pkg, around $61K MSRP

$670/month, 24 month lease, 10K miles per year, nothing down.

I don't put money down on leases. I did 24 months because I have car A.D.D.

Got a fair value on my trade, $2K above their original offer (which was in-line with the other dealers' offers).

Getting it at lunch today. I know, I know, pics or it didn't happen. LOL

My location is listed there on the left side of the screen. The dealer is in Raleigh.

Of course, that deal fell through, as the car had (has?) outstanding recalls and they can't sell it. I had to buy a slightly more expensive one, same terms, longer lease (30). But I actually prefer the color of the more expensive one, and HUD is nice.

For $700, at time of purchase, you can upgrade your scheduled maintenance (ultimate care +) to include brakes, wipers and clutch (if manual). If you choose to upgrade to ultimate care + and keep your car longer than 3/36 you can later upgrade to ultimate care +1 or +2 or +3 or +4.

They even have a new ultimate care scheduled for $899 which upgrades the standard ultimate care from 3/36 to 4/50 but doesn't include brakes, wipers and clutch.

It's a bit of a cluster, but for most people I'd recommend at the very least the ultimate care+ upgrade for $700.. If you don't get it at time of purchase, you cannot upgrade later. And if you drive more than 25K odds are you'll be replacing the rear brakes (why the rears tend to go before the fronts on modern BMW's is a wonder...) and that'll cost you about the same as the plan.

Read here for more details:

Great information.

Of all the BMW I owned / leased, I never had to do brakes. My F10 went in for its final inspection right around 30K miles (it had the 2016 maintenance plan) and dealer just simply reset the i-drive system indicating that I do not need brake pads.

If needed, I can throw in a set of pads in there fraction of the cost of $700.

I think it is a good option for folks who do not work on their cars or go through set of brakes every 15K miles. I also do not see any reference to rotors as BMW recommends changing rotors with pads. So if you are paying $700, I sure hope it includes the rotors as well like it did in the previous plan.

I believe it's DSC and faking the actions of an LSD that uses the rear brakes and causes premature wear.

I've got a deal pending on a 2019 540i lease, 24 months, zero down, $670/month. Seems like a good deal to me (and a fair trade-in as well).

Low optioned car, $61K MSRP.
Run away, this is a bad deal. Many incentives for August on 2019s, and you get benefit of high residual for 24 months. The numbers just don't add up for such low MSRP car

I'm not sure how helpful it is to criticize these deals when you can't give a better example, not (as far as I can tell from your sig) actually owning a 5.

And let's not forget - incentives differ between regions.

Signature not up to date. Driving an F10 ready to be replaced by G30.

Received plenty of quotes from lease brokers and dealers, don't think I have to always support my own opinion (which has 2 cent value) with real data.

Unbelievable how enthusiastic people are here though to jump into cars with high payments and still not understand the lease process components. That's the point of being on a forum like this I'd imagine.

No, of course not. But if you have real data from recent multiple offers from dealers, then that might help the rest of us if you share it rather than just criticising our deals.

Me, I asked for quotes from 5 of the closest dealers to me and 2 more from large market dealers in the Southeast, and of course, went with the best one. And when I say "best one" in each case, I tell them that they can do better (playing them against each other) and wait for their "best price". And even then there's almost always more money to get - but there is also a limit on how much time I can spend doing this. And often cars get sold before I can get the deal done. So when someone tells me that I could have done better, well, I just don't know how.

Not sure if asking for a lower lease payment is the best way to get good deal. The price of the car and leasing/financing are two separate things and must be treated in that manner. One must negotiate the price of the car down and then make sure that the base Lease money factor (provided by BMW) is applied... all other variables are decided by BMW and neither the dealer or the customer can alter them.

I tend to agree with achopra. Sadly prices in Canada are considerably higher so I can only look at most of the deals posted here with envy (and take some solace in the fact that I took delivery of my 530e before our provincial government cancelled the $8500 rebate).

As I had neither the time nor the inclination to play dealers off against one another I simply spec'd the car I wanted, went to three dealers, told them I wanted to lease with zero down and asked them to give me their best price. I made it clear I wasn't going to go back and forth. I went with the lowest (which was about $50 per month less than the highest basically meaning that dealer was able to shave an extra $2250 off the price). I may have done a bit better if I had wanted an "in stock" vehicle but as this was my first brand new BMW (after owning 6 Certified Series" bimmers over the past 20 years) I wanted it "made to order".

Not sure what to tell you bro. I still see lot of people only posting their monthly payments and being oblivious about their selling price.

Personal quote since that is what you asked. This is from last week over the phone with a dealership I have bugged a lot about test drives

2019 540i well optioned NEW (9 miles? on ODO)
MSRP : 69K
36 month/10k miles/yr lease
665/month including 9% California taxes
$0 down, acquisition upfront.

This is accounting for all lease incentives built into the price. I was offered $1000 below invoice BEFORE incentives and I was not satisfied on price with an on the lot, ~5 month old car.

So when I see your deal and the fact that you mention trade-in value, I am made to believe dealer may have screwed your deal one way or the other.

Also, I do not know if you actually pay tax on full price of the car, in which case 24 month lease makes little sense finances wise.

I see my recent posts, yeah I am calling out the bad deals because I see them left and right. Not sure if I help much here, I am learning as the market changes from 3-6-9 years ago being my lease cycle.

Since you are in Charlotte, I'm guessing that's from Hendrick. They consistently have the highest prices. You may want to try Flow in Winston-Salem or Leith in Raleigh. I can give you names if you want...
