2020 540i - Looking to order in NY

Looking for any recommendations on aggressive dealers/brokers in TriState area.

Need to order a car by end of September. Most likely 540i Msport.
So far best deal i got was $1,000 below Invoice before the Loyalty Incentive.

What is MSRP?

540 production just began September, so dealer 540 inventory is likely low. Little less incentive to give mini deals.

BMW of Westchester and BMW of Mt. Kisco, both had great discount (inventory car or stuff they can swap from other dealers). One guy was quoting 12% off any inventory car, forgot which one (before incentive that was back in Oct/Nov 2019).

Though I went to BMW Manhattan in the end (was able to get BMW Manhattan to match, and I live in NYC so it's much less of a hassle), though BMW Manhattan wasn't willing to negotiate in the beginning without other offers.

$1000 below invoice sounds like a fair deal, especially this early in the model year.

You mean 2018? As October or November of 2019 still has yet to arrive

BMW Manhattan was my go to place - got 3 of my last 5 BMWs there.
They are not willing to budge of invoice.

Best i got so far is 10% off including loyalty from a broker.

Out of curiosity, who did you work with at BMW Manhattan (or did you *Not always work with same person anyway), I worked with Thomas Twomey

Depends on what they mean by $1000 under invoice. What figure did they quote?

Then, what dealer fees do they tack on top?

Invoice is approx 64800. Then there another approx 3200 in hold back. If they're truly offering the car for 63800 it's a decent deal this early in MY. All this assumes they aren't layering on nonsense dealer fees on top.

Are you buying or leasing?

Any reason you have to have a 2020? I ask because there are some deals to be had on leftover 2019. Especially if you are leasing. Between loyalty, discounts, incentives and whatnot, you should be able to snag one significantly below invoice and less than $700 per month (lease).

2020 is i7 lite (no remote start/back put assist etc)? I would try to stay 2019 as well or just wait until LCI before you make a decision

That's interesting, didn't know that about i7. I was under the impression the 2020 model was the full LCI. I guess not?

What's the average discount people have been getting before the rebates? 7-10%?
