530e Advice
Relatively new to this forum but a virgin to BMW! Just ordered a 2020 530e with Bluestone Metallic and Ivory White Nappa Leather -
• luxury design • 19" 635 wheels • Fineline wood trim • Exec. Package • Drive Assis + • luxury seats • HK sound Thoughts as this is my very first Bimmer. Am I missing anything? What about the color combo? I am a little concerned about the white seats. Do plan on getting tinted as I am in the desert. What do u suggest? All input greatly appreciated! |

I went with Imperial Blue and Nappa Mocha and I think those will look great. I'm not a fan of a white interior, but colors are always a personal decision -- no right or wrong choices. Similar is true for the options. Since you're ordering you can get what you value without anything you don't. My build is the following options: Executive Package Driving Assistance Plus Package Luxury Seating Package Parking Assistance Package HK Sound Heated Steering Wheel It is Sport Line w/ standard 18" wheels (in the NE the roads are horrible so upgraded wheels would only cause me pain). The only thing I feel I am "missing" is the Night Vision option, but I had to draw a line somewhere. Now we wait for the builds to move to production... |

Ordered my very first BMW at age 55 - a 2020 530e with Bluestone Metallic and Ivory White Nappa Leather with most of the bells n whistles.
Thinking of getting a black vinyl wrap on the hood. Any downsides? How will it look? Do plan on getting tinted as I am in the desert. What do u suggest? All input greatly appreciated! |

I have Bluestone and Mocha Nappa on my M550.
The white is very nice and will go well with bluestone, but for me it was a little too white and bright so I went with the mocha. As far as wrapping the hood in black, that's not my cup of tea, but if you like the look, go for it. I have my hood and front end wrapped with clear paint protection film. I got 70% SunTek ceramic tint on the windshield, and 25% SunTek carbon on the rest of the windows. |

If you have GEICO, or can switch to it, you can have its mechanical breakdown insurance. It costs me currently about $85 for six months coverage. That comes out to around $700/800 after four years. It sits behind the OEM warranty and basically covers all the same stuff with a $250 per incident copay.
That comes out to a whole lot less than a BMW extended warranty. |
