Last beef meal (prime) was on the 1st of Jan...
This one was an inside round, just as nice. Someone else wanted to be at the table! |

Monday Fish Night
From the Philip Pasta Maker recipes book.
Soba Salad (home made pasta) with Salmon and Asparagus (and Mango). Written as a cold salad but we (I bought the ingredients ) did it warm, put all the ingredients in the pasta pot after draining it. The left over will be good as a cold salad. |

Just a really hot sear on a CI pan this time but I much prefer doing it this way in the summer

That's some mouth watering meat to grill right there! And then there's the Belgian Moon....which, not so much. But to each their own, I'm sure people would be horrified at some of my preferences as well.

Halibut with beurre noisette (brown butter), on couscous with salad and vinaigrette.
No pictures this time. I saw halibut at a local mainstream grocery store, and grabbed some. It is very rare that any place sells it in my area. It's possible I haven't had halibut in 10 years, since a short time living in the Boulder, CO area. Halibut is my favorite fin fish. |

Duck Pithivier
Recipe by Bruno Albouze on YouTube Duck confit and ground pork with vegetables wrapped in puff pastry, with duck sauce. One of the best things I have ever eaten. All credit goes to Chef Albouze. Macerated Michigan strawberries and cream for dessert. Last edited by chassis; 01-23-2021 at 07:47 PM.. |
