Mounted the ARC8s today, couldn't be happier from the ride quality improvement > the 19s, the handling is much better and most importantly no Rub! Too bad it's a shitty rainy day and I had my old wheel/tires In the back so I couldn't throw it around.

Here's some shitty pics I'll post better when it stops raining.

18x9 ET30 255/40/18 Michelin AS 4 stock suspension RWD.

Looks great, thanks for sharing! I'm thrilled to see another member reporting no rubbing on the 255/40's, granted you are on standard suspension, but at least it's RWD and not XDrive height.

Our cars are pretty similar…mineral grey, de-badged, window tint, black exhaust tips, ARC-8's (although I went with Hyper Black) on 255/40's. I'm not typically a fan of black wheels, but yours look GREAT on that color along with some of the other black ascents. I'm glad I already ordered my wheels or I may have spent even more hours trying to make a decision That profile 3 face on the 18x9's shows really well in some of your pics, again looks incredible.

Well, I guess I'm up next with 255/40's…wish me luck! I should have some pics later next week to share.

Few more non-rainy pics.
Anyone experience their OEM bmw logo caps sitting a little loose in the wheels ? I thought they may fall off so I left Apex caps on but thinking of switching to the OEMs

These really look great in black on the MG! Any rubbing now that you've had them on a few days?

I will let you know how my OEM caps fit, not sure which ones I will choose to run. Wheels came yesterday, and the tires are in so hopefully I will have an update Thursday.

No rubbing at all, to be fair I've only had 2 people in the car max but I don't think anymore will change things.

Looking forward to your pics

@obzen
Thanks for the update and glad to hear there's still no rubbing.

As for the center cap, I checked one of mine tonight while I was installing a stud conversion kit in prep for mounting the wheels/tires tomorrow. My OEM cap fit good and snug, it snapped in pretty much same as the OEM wheel. I only tried one since I only opened one wheel, however I would not be concerned with the OEM center cap falling out on the one I tested.

Man those hyper blacks are dope!
Thanks for checking, I bought a suction cup to get the center caps off and put the OEMs on. Are you reusing your original tpms?

Wow…my center caps popped out easily without any special tools or suction cup. So they were snug when snapped in place, but they were easy to pop in and out with just my fingers.

I went ahead and bought new sensors, since my current OEM wheels are going on 7 years old and from what I've read the battery life is <10 years. Plus I would have had to pay for the labor to pull the old tires off and move the sensors…didn't seem like it was worth the cost/effort for their age.

Looks sick man, glad your fitment worked out! I was contemplating on getting hyper black or silver instead of black, starting to regret it a little now haha

I just went for the same combo on ours. Black ARC 8s on Mineral Grey. I was worried about the colors working, so wish I'd seen obzen's car before to let me know that all was going to be OK!

I will admit the fit is quite cozy, and I would not want to be the cricket…however I'm not having any rubbing nor issues from the snug fit.

I'm actually blown away at the ride quality since moving away from the worn out run-flats. Previously I would cringe at even moderate road imperfections, and now those imperfections are absorbed and much less noticeable.

That's good to know. Im currently on some worn run flats and I'm excited to replace them. Winters on the current wheels and upgraded to Michelin PS4 when spring comes around. Hopefully those 18x9s won't be too tight on Maine roads, especially if I choose to go with 255s

Those 255/40-18s are pushing it, but we've seen a good number of folks running that size without issue. If the same spec was used with an aggressive track tire that runs extra wide in a given size, there could be some rub under full compression. For those situations, we tend to still recommend a 245/40-18 or a 255/35-18 to be on the safe side.

A chunky non-runflat tire really makes a massive difference in ride quality and performance! I would consider it a 100% necessary upgrade even for exclusively street driven cars.

I actually spoke with Geirsen via email through the Apex website and will be going with the 245/40-18. This whole time I had assumed the was taller, but had just done poor math. Awesome they you guys have the resources available, really makes the difference.
