Looks awesome! I don't know what you'd be waiting for. I'd have it in the garage tomorrow. Good luck!

I am a little late to this party but I have have always done a lot of work on my houses and needed a decent hauler in addition to a nice family car. I had a 1998 M3 Sedan with fold down rear seats and could get 15 8' 2x4s into it with the trunk closed. Since 2010 I have owned 5 Series sedans, a 2010 535xi M Sport and now a 2019 540xi M sport, and both had fold down rear seat backs. In both I have been able to carry a bunch of 8' to 10' 2x4s, 10' lengths of copper pipe or electrical conduit and all sorts of other things. For almost all of my hauling needs the very luxurious and comfortable 5 Series sedans have been great and really all I have needed. If I had a need to haul something bigger I just rented a truck from Home Depot. If you get the 540 you will certainly enjoy it. --Bob

Took delivery this morning! Certainly the nicest sedan I have ever owned.

Power delivery is very smooth, and honestly I am an old soul at age 34 and can appreciate the ride quality over the X3 M40i. So many more options also that I simply couldn't get with the X3.

Harmon Kardon system is great, the Nappa leather is beyond comfortable, and the list goes on and on.

Something about the 5 series always looks good. Like when I see blacked out cars nowadays it mostly looks tacky, cheesy and a bit played out. But when I see the 5 series LCI with the sports package, nice design black wheels etc. it just looks so sporty but still classy.

Funny you mention BMW of Gwinnett - that was where I purchased my first BMW right out of college.

I moved to Nashville in 2016, so this was BMW of Nashville in Brentwood.

I agree. I honestly tend to shy away from the blacked out look, but the 5 series somehow makes it look classy, sporty, and masculine without looking tacky. If I had it my way, I probably would have gone white with cognac and the 20" wheels, but I didn't have 6-8 months to wait and build one.

Am I the only one who dislikes the new HK system? Lol it's sooo underpowered. Also I wish, the headlights were still adaptive (side to side) and matrix high beams.. other than that-still the best car I've ever owned.

I don't know if it changed with the LCI but I love the HK in my 2018. Hell, I love everything about my 2018. The adaptive headlights are pretty handy.

Yeah, used to have 600 watt, now only 464. The alpine system in my wife's new Grand Cherokee L sounds way better..

What's up with that? That's a real bummer. Silver lining for me though - just one more thing to appreciate about the 2018 I got. I did a lot of homework on the market for these cars before buying, but I didn't learn many intricacies of the variations within the G30 model years until after. There are a few things I prefer on the LCI, including the loss of the chrome in the door handles and the revamped tail lights. But I'd take the better stereo over those things. Thanks for giving me something to put in the "pro" column for the pre-LCI version.

LCI wouldn't have been in my budget anyway. My goal was to get into a CPO that I could enjoy until we see what the next gen will bring. It's also my intro into the brand and luxury sedans, in general. I've been driving full size GM SUVs for almost two decades. I couldn't be happier with the decision. I absolutely love this car. If for some reason I am not in love with the 2024 version, I plan to do the same thing and get a CPO 2023 G30 in 4-5 years. This is hands down tied for my favorite car I've ever had. The tie is with a 2003 GMC Yukon (my first one). I've had several of those since, and none lived up to that version in ride quality and comfort. Like riding a lazy boy. I had it for a decade. So who knows, maybe I'll put 100k more on the 2018 G30.

I agree the HK can be a bit underpowered depending on the music source. If you have quality music files it sounds good. Im past the point of wanting to make my ears bleed with super loud music. I already have ringing
in my ears from years of loud music and machinery
