540i Dinan Exhaust Question - any ideas?
I feel like this question will be counter to most, but here it is…
The Dinan exhaust comes with larger black ceramic tips. The larger size is fine. But my 540 is a 2018 Luxury Line model with chrome finishes and trim. I don't think I want to chrome delete it, and these tips are going to bother me since they won't match the rest of the accents. Any ideas on how I can modify the Dinan tips or find others with chrome finish that will fit with that system? I asked them if I could use the stock tips. They said someone might be able to modify things to make it work, but the pipe diameter is different so it won't naturally fit. Any input, experience, or ideas are appreciated. Maybe I'm over thinking the change in appearance?

Not to sound rude, but would you sell me your dinan muffler instead?

If I pulled the trigger, I wouldn't care about the wait. I just don't want to order unless I know it will be how I want it.

Nope. Black ceramic is the only option. And now the rep says the valve remote option isn't available on a 2018 540, but their website says that it is compatible.

In regards to the valve remote compatibility --- I think the confusion there is based on what options are being discussed at any specific time. The valve remote kit is available for the G30 540i with a stock exhaust. The Dinan exhaust eliminates the valve so the valve remote would have nothing to control when paired with the Dinan exhaust. |

So I assume that means the exhaust will have a similar sound, whether in comfort or sport mode, since there is no more valve to open or close. Is that right?

Similar volume but not the same character. Driving mode dictates how certain parameters such as under/overruns are done so there is a noticable change between modes in that department even without the valve present.
