I had it in my 2019 M550i - it made my commute in rush hour traffic so much more tolerable.

My 2022 540i did not come with it, but wish i had it especially with the upgraded system & graphics.

What does the updated version do or present differently? I've got a 2018 540.

There is an internally facing camera that detects driver eye placement and allows you to have a fully hands free experience up until about 40mph if your eyes are on the road. They also added an assistant driving view that shows what the vehicle has detected in lanes nearby and in front of you. I believe they also enabled lane changing as well.

It is nice to see the feature continue to improve. But it isn’t improved enough yet to make me droll over replacing my car yet

I wouldn’t buy a car without it at this point though. As it is nice in heavy traffic.

Agree. And I personally like using it on an open interstate as well. Still have to pay attention and supervise, but to me it allows some relaxation.

Did 3 hours down to the beach and 3 hour home this Thur - Sun.

100% hands free in bumper to bumper traffic. 80 mph on the turnpike with just one hand touching the steering wheel. Signal a lane change and the car changes lanes for you when safe.

80 mph and 34 mpg in Eco Pro, you cant argue with those numbers.

I think it's fantastic and would hate to live without it now that I have it. BMW did a great job with it.
