Comparison of 2020 M550xDrive and Cadillac ATS-V
I recently bought a M550xDrive and sold my Cadillac ATS-V. What do I miss about the Caddie? The steering was awesome and so was the handling. The exterior styling was great. It was nice having a unique car. The maintenance was inexpensive and the Cadillac was reliable. The insurance was cheaper. The BMW has a greater acceleration. The interior is beautiful and the stereo is better. The seats are a lot more comfortable. The BMW is all wheel drive and you certainly don't slip as much and are able to enjoy all of the 523 horsepower. The ride is more comfortable. There is more back seat space and I have a spare tire. Gas mileage is the same on both vehicles. Do I have regrets? Yes, but only some. I do enjoy the BMW.

I’d like to drive a CT6 V. I like Cadillac but after driving GM SUV and trucks for 20 years, the caddy wasn’t enough of a change. Always admired BMW and dad has had a few. Went BMW over Benz E class or Audi. I haven’t been disappointed and love the BMW experience so far. So much that I’m trying to upgrade from 540 to M550.
I like reading these comparisons from real world, everyday drivers. Thanks for this.

Thanks for the comparison. I was just looking at the Caddy CT4-V and the Blackwing last month, but went ahead and bought the M550i for the larger trunk, comfort, and fit and finish. If anything was more powerful than the M550i I think it might get me into trouble
