Alignment w/ tires
About to buy a new set of tires (PS4) for my 22’ m550i. Do I need to get an alignment at the time the new tires are put on the vehicle?
The place I’m getting my tires doesn’t have the correct spec to do a 2022 so I would have to drive a few miles on the new tires to a place that’s able to do the alignment correctly…. |

I've never gotten an alignment from new tires. Nothing about a set of tires is going to affect suspension geometry from an alignment standpoint.

Right my understanding is only if your alignment is off and your tires are wearing assymetrically is an alignment required

If "alignment" is what we call "geometry" than I am pretty sure you do not need new alignment every time you change tyres or wheels. But you will need new wheel balancing when new tyres are fitted.

No you do not need an alignment. UNLESS there is a odd wear pattern on your old tires. With BMWs they will have a little more where on the inside of the tire(depending on year).
