Damn, my immediate reaction was why would they want his old ass stirring things up with Charles?
Then a minute later…why not? They really have nothing to lose by trying to make a big splash. Keeping the status quo with Sainz was clearly not going to bring either the Driver’s or Constructor’s championship so might as well go for broke and there really wasn’t any other top tier driver available they could have gone after. It would make an amazing story if he were to surpass Schumacher while in a Ferrari. |
