Auxiliary battery question
Hi,
First time posting, sorry in advance if wrong forum. I have M550i 2018 with 2VF option, Adaptive M Suspension. I want to retrofit / change / upgrade it to 2VW, Adaptive M Suspension Professional. Got a donor, everything is fine etc., but right now I am confused. G30 technical papers told me that in M550i xDrive one should use 24 V steering rack. ----- Ok, fine. After that I find that part: Awesome. I need third battery. Continue reading, find this picture: And here the problems begin. There is no auxiliary battery in BMW Catalogues, that is mounted in the luggage. The only thing I found is extra battery (10 Ah), but it has to be mounted in front of vehicle, not behind. Here is a picture from catalogue - As far as I understand, I need a part number 12. But there is literally zero information available about it. Maybe someone had an experience and could help me with this? Thank you in advance. |

Hello, have you completed the retrofit? I am doing this on my 2019 G31 530d RWD.
I already had VDC, active steering and auxiliary heating (= second battery). I "only" installed both EMARS and acceleration sensors and corresponding wiring. Both EMARS are communicating fine over FlexRay, everything seems to be working. The last thing I can not figure out is the coding. VDP ecu is still complaining about coding. Could you share your FA please? I added 2VW, deleted 2VH and 223. And still not OK... |
