I ended up getting steel covers that slide over the oem ones. I like this because it's easily reversible and it gives some more size to the tips, filling in the cutout a bit more. They slide on pretty snugly and have tape at the very end of them

The trapezoidal tips are held on by alligator teeth clips…that is a pressure fit. But mine never stayed on so I had them tack welded on.

Hi guys,
Just seen this thread and wondered if anyone could help with some further instructions on how to remove the exhaust tip from my g30 520d. I've just had the car repaired after being hit in the rear but insurance only covered the left tip - so I now have one very shiny new one and one corroded one. I have the replacement but wanted some advice on how to change before I damage lol. Thanks in advance. |
