Same thing happened to me on my 2023 X3. I was really reluctant to apply the over the air update, because there was nothing relevant for me, and now this issue where I can't disable the automatic start-stop; whereas, it worked great before. This is exactly why I didn't want to apply the update! I guess the workaround is the only option now.

Altertately, based on my earlier notes this appears to be part of the DME module. So would unlocking the DME with a tool like M-Link potentially work?
That's my question, too; is there another coding software that will allow auto start/stop to be disabled? Like most here, I've had to code in starting in sport individual (I prefer the comfort look...).

Hi Sir,

Could you say please, what is the coding (Bimmercode) for start the car in Sport Individual or it start in the last state set in memory?

Thanks

Configure your individual drive mode with the settings you like for everyday driving. Then go in to your bimmercode and under Headunit (pretty sure) and configure the car to start in your individual drive mode you configured.

Refer to the official list here.

In Bimmercode, choose Body Domain Controller BDC_BODY2, select Default Driving Mode and make your choice. You probably won't have all of the options listed unless you've coded them in using Expert Mode.
