brake pad wear senson replacement
I need a piece of advice - how does the brake pad wear sensor work? Does it start indicating a problem when it touches the brake disc due to pads being worn out ? Is it ok to use the existing sensor when changing pads not because they are worn, but because of poor braking performance (too hard)?

you can reuse brake sensor - if you manage to take it off in one piece.
I never had such luck - always brakes apart hen removing. Brakes sensor has metal contacts hidden under plastic casing - when plastic wears out due to thin pads, contacts short on rotor surface. |

Do you guys do your own brakes? It seems quite easy. What do you guys use? I have used powerstop on previous cars and they worked amazing, I've use EBC also. Just not sure what you guys are using for pads and rotors. Thanks in advance.

I am reusing the original pad wear sensor and it seems to work fine. It was not even crumbled and there was no problem putting it back in place.
