BMW G30 540i need help

Hello guys,

New to the G30 Forum.

I own a G30 540i M Sport I bought in 2018 brand new, which is currently my son's DD. (I also own other BMWs, which is where I post the most). It has 22k miles, and has been regularly serviced at BMW.

I am a very careful driver, but last weekend while leaving a toll booth I floored and there was an ondulation on the road I had not seen previously (something like an 1-2 inches). I hit it and the car made a jolt and a thud like noise, but then drove on its merry way.

Everything is fine with it (transmission), tracking, no noises as well, I had no clunks or any weird behaviour as well, nonetheless I am concerned, could that jolt have affected anything on the car's semi-axle or its differential?

Only way to know for sure, is to put it on a lift and conduct an inspection.
Anything else is simply speculation....but my "guess" is just a bunch of scraped/cracked and possibly dented undertrays.

Thanks for the input.

I have not had the opportunity to check on the lift yet but the visual inspection with my phone on my garage, found nothing wrong.

I will be scheduling a visit to an Indy Shop friend of mine to check it on a lift.

A 1-2 inch undulation isn't going to do anything. And if it somehow did, you'd have noticed it by now.
