Here you go - you could have been reliving your youth for a mere $45,000 USD and it's a Euro build, perfect for you.

Very nice, Daytona & Techno Violet were two of my favourite colours back in the day. To think I sold my M5 for around £8,000 ($10,300) in 2001

It was only available on Euro M cars from that era.

The few that were about, that I saw when I had mine all had leather…mine had a silver interior like the one in the attachment below, that sold for £15,000 ($19,500)

As nice as they are I wouldn’t be tempted, mine was great in its day but old cars are like old girlfriends…& you never go back to a lit firework

NOTE: steering wheel on the correct side

That car is absolutely beautiful, especially with the Alpina wheels.

The cloth m-tech interior on Euro models was very rare, most were like the car you linked to. I believe it was called an M5 M-Technic.

This thread has some good info on it.

So true. Toyota started it as an export-only brand for the US and it was slowly introduced to other markets over the years. I was in Nagoya, Japan in 1990 visiting a supplier whose main business was supplying the local Toyota plant, so that's what he drove. It was a Toyota Celsior...big, luxurious, leather and wood everywhere, massaging rear seats. The same as the LS430 in the US. They didn't really know about Lexus but it had been in the US for a few years by then.

As for current Lexus products, I haven't really driven them but have had to help my 80-something inlaws with their nav system on their 2017 LS460 and 2024 RX350. What totally shit navigation systems those are. Impossible to use. Definitely not made for their primary demographic (octogenarians) or anyone else for that matter.

Took my 2019 540i in for the steering column up/down failure (though it only seems to happen when cold) and got an i4 loaner. So far, I don't like it, not having some options may have something to do with that. It's higher than my car and my wife drags her leg on the rocker when ingressing/egressing and said if the car were dirty she would be getting her clothes dirty. I don't know what seats are in it, but they are quite uncomfortable; maybe I'm just too used to my comfort seats. BMW can keep their new iDrive. The menus seem to be deeper & deeper; what's with no AM radio? Visibility out the rear is a joke. At least the charging port looks like a normal gas tank door, good on BMW for that. The car is a medium-dark gray (skyscraper gray?) and the black grill doesn't look so offensive; I could probably get used to it, but homie ain't buying no toaster, er, electric car.

Lexus has a well-deserved reputation for having the absolute worst infotainment systems in the industry. Their all-new system is apparently a huge leap forward, and I think it's available across the range now, save for the woefully outdated IS.

I wonder if they’re not trading away their inept technology for their renowned reliability. All new amenities… and all new powertrains. Not sure you’ll get 200k miles out of a new Toyota product with nothing but oil changes.

That is a subject ripe for discussion, isn't it? Toyota (and Honda!) aren't the guaranteed kings of reliability anymore, and now BMW shows up as the second-highest ranked brand overall by Consumer Reports, though their reliability is still just "above average."
