Hey all just pulled the trigger on a 2018 M550i xdrive. I'm getting a trial by fire introduction to this car after having owned 5 other BMW's previously.

One thing is the exhaust at cold start is pretty loud. I assume a previous owner modded the exhaust somehow. I haven't searched that out yet but the exhaust does quiet down quite a bit after 30 seconds or so, or when it's already warm.

Another fun thing happened the day I brought it home, I got 3 notifications on the center display: Low beam, high beam, and Daytime/Parking lamp malfunction. I've done a little research on this one and it could be the Headlight control module. I've seen where this could be re-programmed so I'm looking into that as well. I like to work on my own cars so any help getting set up to program would be appreciated.

Forgot to mention I've done a little coding already on my previous 5 series (550i xdrive) using bimmercode and OBDlinkMX tool. I just haven't done any programming yet and would like to try fixing the headlamp issue if possible or at least start there first.
