Hey guys! Need some advice here (video is attached)
![]() https://youtube.com/shorts/0yEZ5Vsjl5Y I have a BMW 520d G31 2017 with the B47 engine (207,000 km). Twice in the last month, I've noticed a clicking/ticking noise coming from the bottom of the engine at idle. Each time it only lasted for a few seconds and then stopped on its own. The tricky part is I need to drive to Germany tomorrow because of my job (around 200 km). Haven't had the chance to get it checked yet since it happens so rarely. What do you think - is it safe to make the trip? Any idea what could be causing this? I've owned the car for about a month and this has only happened twice so far. I know there's a worn engine mount (silentblock), but not sure if this could be related. Any tips or similar experiences would be really appreciated. Thanks! Hi,
Maybe not related, but how is the car behaving at that KM number (200k+)? What major issues did you encounter near the 200K mark? (let's say between 150k - 200k) Thank you! |
