Brown just likes to say things that will get people going. He did admit though he was wrong last season when Max did win with the 3rd fastest car overall. Now, he's holding his own with the 4th fastest car. If their upgrade can give them at least 2 to 3 tenths, along with better efficiency and lessen tire deg, they will be in a great spot.

Not sure what will happen in Bahrain and all I'm waiting for are the coming upgrades on the RB 21. As Horner said the car has been turned upside down to find new increased pace windows together with fresh tactics being added to marry with this.

The rookie Ayumu Iwasa will run the free practice in MAX's RB21 at Bahrain .
Hopefully he keeps the Frankenstein car out of the wall...

The Bahrain asphalt layer is very aggressive for the tyres . The asphalt is abrasive (!)

At least it's not Jeddah where the car would more likely be ending up as toast.

Hards on most of the time then with a medium on low fuel to dash to the flag I'm thinking, or maybe start on meds then onto the hards when they start to fall apart.

I am hoping to see at least one of the Ferrari drivers finishing the race on the podium and put up a good fight at the front.

Verstappen about the Bahrain track:

"Bahrain – completely different track, very tough on tyres, tyres overheating as well. We still have work to do. But it does show that if we really nail everything, we can be up there.
But from our side, we want to be better than just sometimes being up there. So we just keep working hard and just see where we can be at in Bahrain already.
Hopefully we keep on improving the car, with the through corner balance, and then hopefully it unlocks also just in general a bit more pace."

Slot gap is still allowed, but limited: if 750N of vertical load is applied on either extremity of the rear wing mainplane, the distance between the mainplane and the flap (aka "slot gap") must not vary by more than 0.5mm.

From what I see I think M///PB was referring to the droop down 'half spoon' in the middle of McLarens rear wing.

Fantastic pic of the key people and what I gather is the current PU with its supporting battery. If I'm not mistaken the President of HRC in the middle was the person that MAX presented his white 'rising sun' helmet to after winning at Suzuka 60 years to the time that Honda entered F1.

Yes . At Suzuka the McLaren rear and front wing was still flexible , but it was according to the FIA regulations (but for now)!
But also the McLaren front wing is more flexible than the wings from other teams .
The meaning of the poster in my post above was :
For the FIA the season begins at race 9. The Spain GP (Barcelona) June 9 as the FIA wing regulations will change in Spain.
So for the first 8 races McLaren can get a free 0.2 sec./ lap advantage with their flexible wings and win races with the flexible wing advantage .
Why not from race 1 in this 2025 season ?

Exactly . Spot on my friend

In the middle you can see the HONDA F1 president : "Koji Watanabe"

Exactly and we can see McLaren apparently can quickly develop any wing at will so we can see they can only win by ''bending'' the rules to their advantage while the rest, namely RBR, stick strictly to the rules.

McLaren has passed all inspections, has not been DQed from any race the last two years.

If RB and other teams engineers are unable to design wings to take advantage of the current rules. That doesn’t mean McLaren is “Cheating”, it just means their engineers are better.

Did RB cheat with the RB19 record setting car because it was designed better?

I've been saying this for years. The FIA shouldn't be able to change rules once the season starts. If a car passes pre-season testing it should be good to go for the year. I don't care what team it is. If they were smarter than others it should be rewarded!!!

I only partially agree with that, because sometimes there are some loopholes in the regulations or different interpretations. Which causes the teams to develop solutions which bend the rules a bit or are formaly not against regulations but certainly against what the regulations intented. It's a fine line.

Like a said, if they find a loophole they are smarter than you and it should be rewarded. Like the Brawn double diffuser. It was left up to the teams to figure it out. If you can’t there is always next year. That said I’m a letter of the law type of guy. What you’re talking about is more spirit of the law.
