Putting up my stock OEM spoiler in Black Sapphire Metallic from my G30 LCI for sale. It fits both G30 and G30 LCI. Part number is 51-62-8-072-568. New primed part retails for $361 + shipping and painting, which would work out to be at least around $450 in total. Will let this one go for $180 plus shipping or pickup in Denver, CO.

It’s in a pretty good condition, no scratches except for minor unavoidable swirls. A black boot lip spoiler IMO will look great on cars of most colours, especially white, silver and black. Can send more pictures if anyone’s interested.

I’ve cleaned up the residue from the factory tape, and the part is ceramic coated, so ready to go on any car, all you’ll need is the 2 side tape from 3M to install it.

Dear forum member and admins,

I would like to report a case of fraudulent activity involving a seller I recently transacted with.

We agreed on a price inclusive of shipping charges, which I paid via PayPal. After the payment, the seller claimed that his account was blocked due to my transaction, and we opened a dispute through PayPal.

In order to resolve the situation, I trusted the seller and sent the full amount again via alternative means. Once he received the payment, he came up with a new request for additional funds for shipping insurance. In hindsight, that should have raised a red flag, but I still proceeded with the payment, assuming he was acting in good faith.

However, after receiving the payment, the seller disappeared and only reappeared after I followed up this time asking for even more money for shipment.

At this point, it is clear that this individual is engaging in a scam.

Please let me know if you need any documentation or evidence regarding the transaction.

You either got conned by someone who reached out to you when they saw your number, or you’re trying to pull a fast one.

This could’ve been avoided if you would discuss directly on the thread like I asked, if it’s the first scenario, my sympathy is with you and I would say contact PayPal. The number you’re speaking to on WhatsApp isn’t even mine.

If it’s the second scenario, please know that this is not going to help you get anything from me. It is pretty easy to edit HTML code on a browser and produce screenshots showing whatever one wants to show. So, try elsewhere.

Unfortunately, it appears I was indeed misled by someone pretending to be you. I genuinely had no intention of going around you or doing anything dishonest. I truly believed I was communicating with the same person the entire time.

I will report the issue to PayPal and attempt to recover the funds. Unfortunately, the alternative payment was made outside of PayPal, so there may be no chance of recovery in that case.

I do have full evidence of both payments through PayPal and the other method.

I have registered in this forum partcilarly for G30 original spoiler and floor mats. But it ended up spending 375 usd for air and been cheated

Looking back, I realize I should have asked for ID verification and real-time photos of the spoiler, ideally with something like a handwritten note or timestamp, just to confirm I was speaking with a genuine person.

Unfortunately, I trusted too quickly, and that mistake cost me. Lesson learned the hard way.

+1 to that, it seems to me that when somebody posts something to sell, both the buyer and the seller have a 100% likelihood of running into a scammer at some point. I would be super careful and pay attention to all the details if I were to transact,

1. Verify the user’s profile, a profile with posts/comments about their car is probably genuine, but this can be faked with enough determination from the scammer, unfortunate but it is what it is.
2. Verify the user who posted the item is the same person you are talking to, scammers create fake ID’s with very minor differences that can be very easily overlooked, like an extra ‘.’ In the username, or a ‘0’ instead of a ‘o’ in the username and so on. This is a common trend on this forum.
3. Pay only via PayPal if you are having the goods shipped to you, and make sure you select the paying for goods and services option even if you have to pay a slightly extra fee, this gives you PayPal’s purchase protection for 6 months.
4. Try and have someone you know visit the seller if you have friends in the same city as the seller, tough but this is the only sure shot way to be 100% certain this deal is real.

Looking back, when I re-read all the messages, there were clear signs he was scamming me — I just didn’t want to see them. I wanted that spoiler so badly, it made me blind to the red flags.

I’ll post all the details I have tomorrow. Hopefully, someone Googling this in the future can use that information to avoid the same mistake.

Crypto for the mats? Sucks how both the transactions you wanted to make ended up being a con.

But Crypto is the defacto give away that the seller is a scammer, never pay anything to anyone in Crypto, it is not traceable and there is no form of purchase protection. Once the money leaves your wallet in a Crypto transaction, it can never come back unless the person you sent it to wants to send it back.

We initially agreed to make the payment via PayPal. He specifically instructed me to send it as “Friends and Family”, but that option wasn’t available in my region, so I sent the payment with that note in the comments instead.

Shortly after, he claimed that because of this, his PayPal account was blocked, and we had to dispute it with PayPal. Then came the emotional manipulation — he pushed to switch to crypto, playing the victim and pressuring me to “just help him out.”

That was the second red flag, and I should have stopped there. But unfortunately, I didn’t.

The first warning was more subtle: he promised that the spoiler would come with 3M adhesive tape included, which sounded nice — but in hindsight, it was bait to make it sound more legitimate and professional.

Looking back, all the signs were there…
