This Clearcoat Sucks

Experts – I am absolutely convinced that my clearcoat is insufficient/inadequate (does not meet spec) or its failing. I bought my M550 as a CPO and slightly used. I guess it’s possible that it’s been repainted and never recorded on a Carfax. Is there a way I can have the clearcoat analyzed or assessed for adequacy independent of BMW? I’m quite sure BMW would just laugh at me and tell me it’s good.

Detailer here. Any reputable body shop or detailer could tell you if the car has had paintwork done to it. Easiest thing to do is pay them a visit.
