Do you think it is possible for me to just leave the top heat shield of the MST off? Would it be bad for the filter or would it not make a difference? I just think the sound is much better with it off.

Of course you can leave it off, but the filter would probably get dirtier quicker and i dont think you would add much sound. even with the top on i find mine too loud at times

How did you screw the big screw that connects the box to the passenger side chassis?
There’s like no space haha.

Sorry, don't know how I missed this till now but my question still stands just need to explain it better lol.

So, I have the MST intake. Will it fit wit the FTP Intake Pipe or like the BMS, it will sit to high. Are you just using the stock pipe with the MST? Any upgraded intake pipe that you can recommend that would go with the MST? Thanks for the help and time!

I had an MST intake connected to the OEM elbow going into the Turbo. Exiting the Turbo, I had an FTP charge pipe. Everything fits fine. Before that I had the BMS intake which sat high and kept hitting the padding under the hood.

My current setup is an MST intake and Dynamax(?) intake elbow going into the Turbo. Exiting the turbo, I have an Apex Titanium Charge Pipe. Everything still fits as it should.

Being in California, I’m thinking of switching over to the Dinan intake, just so I don’t have to keep swapping back to OEM for Smog checks.

I hope this helps.

The intake isn’t completely sealed so it wouldn’t make a difference whether you have the top on or not.

Hi everyone,

I have the same intake/charge pipe combo but, I get a DTC 'Air mass volume too low'. The car is tuned with stage 1 and upgraded HPFP from B58TU. I do get it only in Comfort driving mode. In all other modes the DTC doesn't come back.

I checked everything 10x, did a smoke leak but everything seems fine. Can this be related to the tune maybe?
