540i xDrive Stage 2 e40

Hi All

Today I did 2 quarter mile attempts and made a compilation video of the results.

Yesterday ran full 93 Octane and the ethanol reading for it was 10%.

Today ran the car @ e40 (mixing ~ 5.3 gallons of e85 and rest 93 octane for a full tank) and the difference between the two mixes felt substantial.

So far very satisfied with the results.

Impressive. What mods are you running? Upgraded HPFP? Ethanol sensor?

For mods I have

MHD Flex Fuel CAN
MHD Stage 2 map with Flexfuel support (Ran E40 for this run.)
AA Catted downpipe
FTP Charge pipe
XHP Stage 2 flash.

Rest all is stock.

Although I try to mostly run between e30 to e40, at times I have run various mixtures from e15 all the way to e45.

I did not measure the performance stats enough to quantify the differences.

Even if there was a performance drop/gain going from e30 to e40 I did not notice it.

As for our stock TU pump capacity, I have heard various opinions ranging from e30 to even e50 as the safe and optimal max.

Also based on how the pump operates (max pumping capacity directly proportional to engine rpm), we would gain more from it at higher rpms, which our stock turbos do not support.

If you do try it and are able to measure the difference, it would be awesome to know.
