Late to the party, but just wanted to say THANKS!
I also use Pandora, is there a way for it show up in the apps on the car screen? I have Spotify, Google, Alexa and screen mirroring only. |

In my 2019 Pandora shows up intermittently. It works probably, 90% of the time. When I try to select Apps in the Manage Devices menu, it just keeps searching and tells me I may need to open the app; which I have done each time it says to. I have no idea the rhyme or reason why Pandora shows up or not when I start the car.

It did just show up. Got the screen mirroring working. Saw something about full screen?
Edit - I see that the apps are full screen, I think this is what was referenced. Any chance of Google maps showing up? Could Android Auto actually run this way? Are only music apps supported? Thanks Last edited by Bikegeek09; 07-01-2024 at 01:01 PM.. |

For anyone struggling with aaidrive not connecting. If you're stuck on the last part where it's waiting for MyBMW app to connect. I had to go into app permissions and enable "nearby devices." I don't think the MyBMW app natively asks for that when you install it. Once you enable, delete your Bluetooth device, re-sync, the MyBMW app should say it's connected to the car and aaidrive will work.
Hopefully this helps someone who was stuck on the same spot. |

The app connects to the car just fine and I adjusted permissions on the my bmw app as well and still no luck. Seems to work for alot of people but don't think any of them have wireless only carplay. I really don't want an iPhone but seems like the only way this is going to work. Thought about the mmb boxes but don't wanna spend $500 for that not to mention install. The mmi box seems OK but it's not the same as android auto. Just seems like an entirely different device is being added. |

Read my reply to you in the other thread. If you want proper Android Auto an MMI box is the best way to go. And yes an entirely different devices needs to get added in order for you to run Android Auto. The MMB boxes are crap.
