Sorry for your loss. My oldest was 14. Died from lymphoma. Was the cat I had before my current cat. Hope Abbie is doing well without her brother.

She's got plenty of company.

They could not be more loved lol. I work from home so I spend most days with them asleep on the desk and the dog at my feet. Much better than my prior co-workers…

I took my guy to the ER today. Having issues with bladder or urinary tract. He's roughly 5 years old and an indoor cat except for when he escapes and that has not happened in about 18 months. Unwanted house guest forgot to secure the door he used and cats wandered right out the door.

Has to be the most loveable cat I have had. He's my barnical.

We've had several with urinary stones/issues; I'm told it is more common in males. Hope it turns out OK for your guy. Whoever let him out deserves the kidney stone.

I had a thread awhile back about him.....He doesn't reside here anymore and I did not have to get a court order thankfully but he continues to bleep up.

Intentionally got his friend pregnant and he's on food stamps refuses to work and she's got two kids and lives off SSD.

Vet just called he has some stones sending him home with medicated diet. They said he should recover just fine but ouch to my wallet.

Our snowshoe had an emergency issue with "crystallization in urniary tract" about 6 months after we got him, turned out he required a special kind of cat food... and $1800 in surgery.

Good to hear, and good on you for footing the bill. I figured you were probably in for an introduction to gourmet medical catfood. I think that was when we picked up the water fountain as well - it helps to keep them hydrated and sometimes that water bowl is just so boring.

My guys live in the bathroom sink and turn the water on at free will. The valve is off on the hot side but the cold side is just cracked so it;s always on, just wished they would shut off the water. He's attached to be me now.

That's how we lost Moonshadow - vet punctured her bladder with a catheter 6 days after a successful surgery.

Sorry to hear that. Both of mine are now on the same diet and Jonsey has lost a few pounds as he doesn't inhale all the food. He is also not puking it now as well since he doesn't eat so fast.
