Microsoft Edge
Upgrading the old and busted Microsoft Edge to the new and improved Microsoft Edge on some student laptops when this happened.
So, the new and improved Microsoft Edge is not designed to run on Windows??? ![]() At least they're honest about it. ![]()

You can uninstall the new one. Not sure about the old and busted one.

Honestly, it’s kind of ironic. You're upgrading to the “new and improved” Microsoft Edge, only to be told it’s not designed to run on Windows? That’s some next-level comedy. It’s frustrating when even native Microsoft apps aren’t optimized for older versions of their own OS—especially on student laptops that often can't be upgraded easily. At least the error message is unintentionally honest! You’d expect smoother integration from the same company. Feels like they’re pushing users toward buying newer devices rather than supporting what’s already out there.
