Successfully managed to get SLI and aSLA working on my G31 today, no FSC, just used ProTool with Expert Mode! Worked great. Very chuffed that I’ve finally got it working, just got to press LIM on the wheel and the automatic limiter activates with all settings adjustable in the iDrive!

ID7 Car with Sensatec Dash.

Will be working on a little sheet to to post so others can replicate it if they wish!

Very useful feature to have, only requirement is KAFAS, I believe nearly all G30/G31 have this for HBA.

Hello well done, could you please share the coding I would like to do the same retrofit for my car. I already have Kafas in my car.

Thanks for sharing. I don't have protools. I have Bimmercode just wounding if it can be done with that or not? Also i have read that this can also be done via E-SYS which im trying to get hold of by the help of this forum. Would really like to know if BimmerCode can do it or not as i already have that

Bimmercode doesn’t give access to all modules requires due to limitations
you can do some of the coding via bimmercode

esys is too complex , i gave up trying to use it.

bought protool instead, its like esys but all on the phone instead, worked fine for me.

i have ISTA+ too for diagnostics, pretty handy bit of kit, all using the same OBD enet cable i got for £15 on amazon lol

£75 or something, search for protool bmw, it’s android only
pay for licence on website and you can use on as many devices as you want, paired to google account

Nice to know, ill see if i can get hold of E-Sys and see what the learning curve is like on that (also will give a chance to learn a new skill) if i find that confusing then i may go the route of the protool. Either way thanks for the info and the guide

no problem
protool is just esys but phone based i guess, you have acesss every module and can edit every code along with VO etc

its great for what it is with a friendlier UI
