Takes a couple of days and then you won't be able to transfer money online either "because it's a new account". She asked me to mail a physical check to myself and that will get deposited into my account but will be held for 8-9 days after that "because it's a new account". It's quite the process to give them my money, but hey can't beat that price so gotta go through it.

Yeah it's kind of annoying but I saw a blurb about monitoring money laundering/reporting new accs to the feds for terror/nat sec monitoring, etc., when I opened my account, so I'm guessing it has something to do with that.

Just thought I would drop a note on getting Route 66 through Hanscom Federal Credit Union. I was able to wire transfer, overnight, the deposit for Route 66 into my HFCU account. Once I saw the funds in there, I emailed Ewa who responded that she had purchased my coverage and I will receive another email to digitally sign, then the contract from Route 66 will be mailed to me covering my car. It as very smooth.

I never had to show proof of my mileage and for my 2020 M550 with 14,600 miles, I got 7yrs/120k miles for $2700 for the Easy Street with EEP. I think that is pretty awesome.

Nice! I suppose wire transfer is always an option. I just emailed her and hopefully should be processed soon.

It's been a month since I purchased the warranty. Other than a Docusign signed contract that I downloaded after signing, I have received no additional paperwork from Ewa or Route 66. I called Route 66 and they said I am in the system and that they do not send any paperwork...all paperwork would come from the credit union. For those of you who purchased this, is this your experience too?

Exactly the same experience with me. I wondered if I was going to get some type of correspondence and when I didn't, given I am relying on a bank to file it, I called Route 66 and verified I was in the system. I actually called the next day or two after paying and signing off.

I'm now more interested in seeing how the claims process works for me or any of you. Guess it is a good thing these cars don't break much.

Totally agree, I buy warranties with the hope I never have to use it vs. wanting to get my money back.

I will also update this thread with any claims that get filed and the experience. I'm just about to shut the car down for the winter though. Temps are dropping below 40 and I run summer tires.

I am in Colorado and was able to find a local credit union, On Tap Credit Union that called me back within 48 hours. I was able to get a quote for the Easy Street with EPP option for 7 years/120k miles and just purchased it. They also provided all the documentation in the Docusign. How much did it cost you? That datapoint will be helpful for other readers of this thread. Also, please share your experience here if you end up using it.

It was $2860 for 7 year/120k miles. I also 29k miles so that also helped.

Good to know. I’ll be shopping for Route 66 for the same warranty period in a year. Mine has 33k miles currently. So probably mid 40k’s by then.
