I did a little intentional sabatage myself, but not against the enemy.

We were ordered to a small field base that was primarily defended by a
company of ARVN troops. They didn’t seem all that reliable to me and
they also were thiefs. I caught them stealing some of our precious
gasoline (used for our radar generator); gasoline we risked our necks
for, hauling it from our base camp in two 55-gallon barrels.

When we got orders to move (again) I “accidentally” left a 5-gallon gas
can with about a pound of sugar mixed in. They were using the gas in
their Honda motor bikes. I giggled about the outcome long after we
left the scene.

Since those days I have learned that no, sugar in the gas tank does not
make the engine seize up. At least it made me feel better at the time.
