Maybe a longer hose from the washer to the gun? I don't know what the proper name for it is. But the quick connector will make it quicker to set up and the longer hose for the gun will probably help me walk around further without toppling the washer over.

I have an issue with the garden hose-to-washer connector always leaking to some degree. I just have a small spraying leak at all times and the best I can do is just work to lessen the leak as much as I can.
Between all this stuff, you should have all the parts to make everything quick disco including the garden hose:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is the gun I bought:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You know after I posted about the annoying power wire, I thought, maybe I should just get a longer gun hose or an extension, then I can leave it be near the plug and garden hose spicket and not have to unravel the electrical wire. My spicket is actually in my garage.

Which extension did you go with? Do you have a link?

I am thinking this could work:

In the uk, you are asking for a fine if you drive around without a front plate. I have temporarily positioned the plate in the front windscreen for now.

My reg has a small number of characters and incudes a 1 which means I can legally run a small plate 330mm, versus the standard 520mm uk size.

Mirrors and grill are next.

I haven't purchased an extension hose as yet. I've actually bought nothing for the PW other than the foam cannon, so I can't quite recommend one. I'll take a look around. I use SlickDeals and Sun Joes are on there frequently and the comments usually have discussions on additional accessories so I'll take a look there and see what they recommend.

I'll take a look at what you suggested. Thanks

Thanks. I pulled the trigger on the extension hose. I’m sure it will be fine. It’s only $30 bucks so even if it last a year or two I’d be fine with that.

Don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner. Besides the tangling power chord, I now won’t have to drag the until and two hoses and a wire around.

What's everyone's solution to washing in below 30 degree weather? Slightest bit of dusting of snow around here and they dump an ocean load of salt on the roads.

Just drag out the pressure washer and give it a once over?

Run it through a touch-free wash. If it's not ceramic coated

I'd just take it to a touch free place and use the self wash bay. I've done that a couple of times when it's less busy.
I'll
I'd take my own car wash stuff and just use the water

Wouldn't that be the same as using my own power washer? Or do they use hot water?

I think they use hot water. I don't wash my car outside (in other words, I don't use the garden hose) when it's winter out. Don't want to risk bursting the pipes.

Good point. With 20 degree weather out, I'd rather not risk that either.

You see, I did that at our old house. Ended up busting the water pipe in the basement and the basement was well, you know what

Yeah, I would wait until 30s or 40s. I haven't washed my car since November or so of last year. Last winter I did rinseless washes with a bucket of ONR and The Big Red Sponge but I just didn't do it year. I missed a few 50 degree days last month when I could have put some Lift in a foam cannon, rinsed it off, and then hand dried in my garage.

I hope there's a bit more snow or rain soon and I'll just drive it for a bit in that and get some of it off. But I also notice the road salt really likes to aggregate on the rear of the car. I might spray it down with an ONR sprayer and wipe with a Eagle 500 microfiber cloth from TRC.

Leave it dirty. If you can’t wash it right, then don’t wash it at all. You will do more damage just to have a day or so of personal satisfaction. Wait until temps are above freezing and so it right with your pressure washer, cannon, etc. A touchless wash will decrease the life of the ceramic coating and honestly, if it’s below freezing, it ain’t gonna look that good even if you found one in your area.

Man, I feel blessed to have a way to wash my car during the winter at work, properly

That too, in a heated garage. The GM of the store knows I wash my car at work by hand. Sometimes he makes fun of me but hey man clean car = more girls. Or in some people's case, more guys?!?! Or both? Hell, idk anymore

Yep. Better to leave it dirty. It will be warm enough tomorrow but it will rain all week. Will probably just wait.

On second thought… not going to rain as much as I thought. Maybe I’ll try the Lift tomorrow.
